OPINION: NYC Deserves To Dance Under Its Own Electric Sky
According to Billboard, the Electronic Daisy Carnival New York / New Jersey 2015 edition attracted over 100,000 attendees over two days (Billboard), demonstrating its popularity and significance in this specific location. Now almost 7 years later, Insomniac is a thriving multinational company with name recognition and resources to take on a project of this size, and we're confident the NYC electronic music scene would jump at the opportunity to attend an EDC NY/NJ. This isn't just good public relations, it's good business too; because New York City deserves to dance under its own Electric Sky.
We believe that ravers of every background and walk of life deserve a vibrant and competitive electronic music scene, which is why today we'll be launching a social media campaign seeking petition signers calling on Insomniac to revive EDC NY/NJ so that festival goers of our diverse geographic location can show love, spread love, and keep dancing.
